Biography
Abhitendra Sarvesh is an M. Tech. student in Construction Technology and Management with a strong technical orientation towards geotechnical engineering and ground improvement solutions. His M. Tech. project, titled “Geocell-Reinforced Working Platforms: A Cost-Efficient Solution for Soft Clay Sites”, focuses on improving the bearing capacity and performance of construction working platforms over soft clay soils.
The research involves numerical modelling and analysis using PLAXSIS 3D to study the behaviour of geocell-reinforced working platforms under construction loading conditions. Parametric studies were carried out for various soft clay soil conditions to evaluate the enhancement in bearing capacity, stress distribution, and deformation characteristics due to geocell reinforcement. The study aims to provide a performance-based and cost-effective approach for working platform design on soft ground, with practical relevance to infrastructure and heavy construction projects.
